With over 36 years of civil litigation experience, Mr. Altopiedi concentrates in the areas of catastrophic injuries; construction accidents; medical malpractice; injuries and death from automobile accidents; products liability; premises liability; slip and fall; and workers’ compensation claims. His firm also handles real estate matters, Wills and Estates, collection matters, business law and DUI defense.
Mr. Altopiedi brings a unique background to serve his legal clients. In 1979, he received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from Villanova University. While working as an engineer, he attended the Delaware Law School of Widener University and received his law degree in December of 1983.
Mr. Altopiedi is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Pennsylvania and
holds the designation of Realtor and Accredited Buyers’ Representative. Mr.
Altopiedi also holds insurance licenses in Pennsylvania in Title Insurance,
Property and Casualty, and Life, Accident & Health. He is also a Licensed
Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida.
Mr. Altopiedi is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Delaware County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice, Delaware County Trial Lawyers’ Association and the Justinian Society. Mr. Altopiedi is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia; is a member of the Bar of the Federal Courts and is permitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
In the community, Mr. Altopiedi donates his time as a coach and sponsor of Youth Sports Programs. He is a member of the Sons of Italy and the Men of Malvern. He has been recognized in Philadelphia Magazine, Main Line Magazine and Brokers’ Magazine. Mr. Altopiedi is also a recipient of the Historical Preservation Award for his efforts in maintaining the historic district in Marple Township.

Donna A. Casasanto has been with the firm since 1995. Donna graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Temple University. She went on to receive her law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1992. Donna is admitted to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has over 24 years of civil litigation experience and concentrates in the areas of workers’ compensation, automobile liability, slip and fall accidents, medical malpractice and general litigation matters.
Before joining the Law Offices of Alfred V. Altopiedi, Donna served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Nicholas M. D’Alessandro in the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia and to U.S. Magistrate Judge James R. Melinson in the United States District Court.
Ms. Casasanto is an active member of the Delaware County Bar Association. She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She is also a member of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Nicholas Altopiedi is a dedicated legal professional with a practice focused on personal injury, motor vehicle crashes, slip and fall cases, and medical malpractice. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Alfred V. Altopiedi P.C., Nicholas worked at JP Morgan Chase & Co. as a Trading Services Associate, collaborating with legal counsel on complex financial matters.
With over 5 years of professional experience, Nicholas has honed his ability to effectively engage with colleagues, counsel, and clients.
Nicholas is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Delaware County Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association, Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Justinian Society. Nicholas is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida. Nicholas is also a member of the bar of the Federal Courts.
Academic Achievements
While working full-time at JP Morgan, Nicholas earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Widener University Delaware Law School in 2023, where he achieved Dean’s List recognition. He also showcased his trail advocacy skills as part of the Moe Levine Trial Team, winning the Hugh B. Pearce Mock Trial Competition in Harrisburg, PA.
